Coach Luke had this to say about his team-

Buccaneers were established in 2021 as an Under 8 girls team, originating with ten players who had advanced from our FA Weetabix Wildcat sessions.

Our second season proved to be a rollercoaster journey.
Initially faced with the challenge of not having a league to compete in, as there was a shortage of teams in the Under 9 age group, we encountered player losses and ultimately divided the team to form a new U8 squad, the Comets.
Through persistent recruiting efforts for both teams and the successful acquisition of a new coach for the U8 players, we concluded the season with two enthusiastic groups of girls actively engaged in football.

This season, the Buccaneers are proudly competing in the NWGFL U10 Chloe Kelly league, boasting a full squad of 14 players. The emphasis is on development and fun, learning the game and all aspects of being part of a TEAM.
All of the girls have demonstrated lots of determination and a great team ethic in every game they have played.

Through an introduction from a parent, we are grateful of the support from our sponsor OCM Wealth Management who are a family run, Independent Chartered Financial Planning Firm, Discretionary Asset Manager and Tax planning specialist, based in Northampton.
Their generous donation has been instrumental in providing our team with full kit for the upcoming two seasons.

Jason Stather-Lodge, CEO, of OCM Wealth Management had these words to share.

“A friends granddaughter plays for the team and thats how we became involved.
We do not get anything out of it financially but it makes our hearts warm when we see the girls running around Kingsthorpe wearing shirts we sponsor.

It makes us feel like we are putting something back into the community at grass roots and helping a local club survive and help in a small way which is good for our souls and makes us smile and sometimes that is enough.”
